We would like to start a question and answer service for Respiratory Care student's utilizing Sandy Johnson and Natalie Napolatino as our hosts. Please email student@vsrc.org your question and we will post it to this page with an answer. It may relate to anything with the profession of Respiratory Care. We have abundandt resources at our disposal. We hope this makes for a inovative and helpful tool.

4/8/09 "What is the current job market like for new grads with a 2 year versus 4 year degree?"

There is generally no difference in entry level pay between an AS or BS degree. The difference comes in when entering supervisory or management positions as well as any career outside the bedside care. When you are applying for jobs with other health practitioners you should have a similar degree level to be competitive.

The difference in pay will be seen between a CRT and RRT.
