Ever wonder what the VSRC does for the profession? Ever think you could help promote your profession? Want to help make a change in the VSRC? Then get involved by nominating yourself or someone you know, for one of our open positions in this years upcoming elections! Available positions include: President Elect, Vice President, and district directors for all 5 districts (based on your home location: Northern, Central, Blue Ridge, Western, Tidewater) Here’s a brief summary of what these positions include:
President-elect: The President-elect shall become acting President and shall assume the duties of the President in event of the President’s death, absence, resignation, or incapacity and shall perform such other duties as shall be assigned by the Board of Directors. This is a one year term, followed by another year as President.
Vice President: The Vice President shall assume the office of the President-elect in the event of the President-elect’s death, absence, resignation, or incapacity and shall serve for the unexpired term of his/her predecessor in office and shall accede to the office of President. The Vice President as Chair of the Program Committee will oversee the major designated seminars sponsored by the Society and shall perform such other duties as shall be assigned by the Board of Directors. This is a 2 year term.
District Director: The District Director will work with a Co-director in their locality to promote the profession, setup and hold district meetings, social events and gatherings, and offer CEUs. District Directors serve two years.
