The Position: PAR seeks a dynamic and enthusiastic full-time Respiratory Therapist for our Waterford PAR location.
Job Responsibilities for the Respiratory Therapist
Administers pulmonary function testing, including spirometry, flow volume loops with and without bronchodilator, DLCO, nitrogen washout, and plethysmography
Administers six-minute walk test, 02 therapy, and Nebulizer treatment
Review’s pulmonary function studies with medical students, medical staff and physicians
Educates patients regarding pulmonary medications and use of oxygen
Coordinates clinic schedules for pulmonary physicians and for special tests within the clinic and outlying facilities
Maintains pulmonary function equipment and associated supplies
Completes reports for pulmonary function tests and distributes to ordering physicians
Qualifications for the Respiratory Therapist
Associate degree from an accredited Respiratory Therapy program
At least 2 years of experience required
Clinical experience preferred
Certifications:
RRT or CPFT is required
Virginia State Respiratory Therapist license is required
